here's what i think might have happened (just a theory). remember how towards the end the topic of if two entities can be separated under stress was brought up? i believe in the very end in split screen when both sides of the girl were under high stress their personalities split just like her dad. and she killed herself in the real world, and here spirit-world self is still alive. in the end they showed her dad possibly being alive and he too was in spirit world or found a way to travel between them. so possibly he will find his daughter there and try to get her out into the real world.

I don't know for sure but I think this game is based in germany. The W's get pronounced as v's when the characters talk and I'm not aware of other countries doing that aside from germany

Btw the game takes place in Poland. And this place is based on a real hotel - hotel Cracovia :) I'm so proud developers come from my country :) it's so unbelieveble to see my native language in a video of such a famous youtuber :')

I was gonna say wow the devs really stepped it up from Layers of Fear but I just discovered they're also the team behind Blair Witch. Still, I thought this game was pretty good. The one that stuck to me the most was Francis who at first was just a random dude and I thought his postcards are just collectibles with no real impact, then it was revealed he accidentally unleashed the Maw that caused the massacre. And now that I know all the characters I gotta go back to part 1 to see how they were slowly revealed and also because I wasn't paying too much attention to them bec like the postcard, I thought they were just random characters lmao

My theory is that she has a disassociative personality disorder (multiple personality disorder) The original personality is Thomas's daughter/sadness and the new personality is Marriene (our character).It is worth mentioning that "extra" personalities can be developed through dramatic events ,like the Niwa stuff. The reason I know all this is because I watched jjba(Kono diabolo da!!!) and because of moon knight so take everything with a grain of salt.

No, he's dead and he passed on. The Maw used that to try and break her and make her weak so he could claim her. It's was a mind game and it didn't work. Jack was exactly what he was, a religious man who ran an orphanage for a time and then a funeral home.

The Maw is actually a spiritual manifestation of her trauma, like Richards Childeater and Henry's Hound. It's as much a part of her as Marianne's spirit counterpart, or Thomas'.
